OUR STORY
Alumiware is a product that was conceived of by 20 year veteran of the multifamily real estate industry. The problem to solve was simple. Properties built in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s have aluminum wiring that must be modified with any of the 3 approved methods of correction. These methods are defined by the National Electrical Code. (More information on these methods is in the link below.) After several occasions of having properties with aluminum wiring modified to NEC standards, the properties would slowly slip out of compliance due to a lack of knowledge by the people who lived and worked there. Over time different maintenance staff, painter, and residents would unknowingly change outlets, switches and lights with no knowledge of proper protocol for dealing with aluminum wiring. After dealing with this problem for the 3 rd time a solution was developed. What if we could stop the contamination from happening? A simple warning label at the right location could achieve this. This product was designed to help the multi-family industry prevent such expensive and hard to fix mistakes.
